UPCOMING PROJECTS
WESTERN
Currently filming in the rugged landscapes of Northern California, Chandler steps into a pivotal role in the upcoming Western feature THE OUTLAWS OF MENDOCINO, inspired by true events from the late 1800s. Evoking the raw spirit of classics like Unforgiven, Open Range, and The Outlaw Josey Wales, this film is a visceral return to the genre’s golden age. Chandler plays a key character whose actions spark a chain of events that drive the narrative forward. It’s a role that taps into Chandler’s strength for grounded, character-driven storytelling and continues to showcase his ability to bring grit, nuance, and soul to the screen.
HORROR
Chandler recently wrapped filming on FLESH, a psychological horror-thriller where he stars opposite scream queen Danielle Harris (Halloween). As the male lead, he plays a man desperate to leave his past behind — only to land in the wrong town at exactly the wrong time. What begins as a fresh start quickly spirals into something far darker, testing the limits of both character and actor. The role demanded emotional vulnerability, physical intensity, and a deep internal arc. His chemistry with Harris is undeniable, bringing a raw, magnetic tension to the screen that grounds the horror in something deeply human. Directed by Chris McGowan, FLESH is currently in post-production and is sure to generate buzz for Chandler's performance that reinforces his presence as a commanding, old-school leading man built for the big screen.

THRILLER
CHASING NIGHTMARES (currently in post-production) has Chandler acting alongside the late Anne Heche (Donnie Brasco), Graham McTavish (Outlander), and Michelle Randolph (1923) in this tense psychological thriller. In one of his most layered performances yet, Chandler plays a character navigating dangerous emotional terrain — someone who manipulates those around him while hiding his own motives. The role gave Chandler the opportunity to explore a darker, more unpredictable side on screen, tapping into quiet intensity and internal conflict.

CAREER MILESTONE
DRAMA
THE TOY SOLDIERS was released in AMC Theaters & is Now Streaming. Set in the 1980s and drenched in sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, The Toy Soldiers tells a raw, unfiltered coming-of-age story with a narrative style that echoes the fragmented, character-driven storytelling of early Quentin Tarantino films.
Chandler stars as Elliot Harris, a deeply troubled teen battling drug addiction, an abusive father, and an alcoholic mother — all while trying to win the heart of the girl of his dreams. As the film’s lead, Chandler delivers a fearless, emotionally charged performance that anchors the film’s gritty energy with real heart and humanity. His work received strong critical praise for its authenticity, range, and emotional depth, cementing him as a compelling presence in bold, character-driven stories.
"...Elliot (Chandler Rylko) has the quietly confident good looks of your basic young rock god, yet he's as painfully shy and vulnerable as an outcast kid..."
~ Film Journal International

THE TOY SOLDIERS AVAILABLE ON VOD, HD DIGITIAL, 4K ULTRA HD

"The best of these short stories is the one with the least propensity for melodrama: Elliot Harris’ (Chandler Rylko) battle with drugs and his attempts to find a connection with someone that isn’t steeped in fakery. Harris’ subplot is the only one that doesn’t feel overblown or showy — it’s frank, subtle and covers a range of complicated teen emotions."
"...the two find solace in one another’s pain and bond together so suddenly but amazingly that you’re instantly washed with a grand feeling of hope. In
fact, their sex scene might be the best of the entire year."
"Both actors here deserve to become major stars in their own right. Rylko is a Josh Hartnett in the making..."
~ Awards Circuit
"The cast was remarkable, each giving stellar performances; Chandler Rylko (Elliot Harris), Constance Brenneman (Mary Harris), Samuel Nolan (Jack Harris) and Nick Frangione (Steve), for some this was their first lead performance in a feature film yet there was not a single frame where they showed it."
~ Way Too Indie
"The maybe movie star? Chandler Rylko, as Elliot Harris, who even did a role as an Ashton Kutcher look alike before showing he can actually act here; a mansteak cutie with talent."
~ Blunt Review
"The third segment, involving Chandler Rylko’s character, putting aside his tough guy act to pursue the girl of his dreams, has a sweet quality to it. This segment is the glue that holds this all together. In a perfect world, the entire film would have been about this character’s budding romance with his family problems being a backdrop for why Rylko’s character is the way that he is.
There are scenes, in The Toy Soldiers, that grabs you at the throat and refuses to let go. There are scenes of insight, of love, of pain, of all the messed up emotions that we feel both good and bad that come through. There are performances that are hard to shake with particular credit going to Chandler Rylko, Constance Brenneman, Najarra Townsend, Izzy Pollak and Jeanette May Steiner."
