Originally from Chicago, Chandler Rylko moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television, quickly making a mark with roles in a series of acclaimed short films — including the award-winning drama Savanna, directed by Vincent Grashaw, where he showcased a natural ability with heavy dramatic material.
His first leading role came in the romantic comedy Cupid’s Arrow, opposite Najarra Townsend and C. Thomas Howell. But it was his performance in The Toy Soldiers — an ensemble drama set against a backdrop of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll in the 1980s — that firmly established him as a powerful on-screen presence. Directed by Erik Peter Carlson, the film follows six interconnected lives over one fateful night. Chandler stars as Elliot Harris, a teenager grappling with addiction, domestic abuse, and the unraveling of his world, all while chasing the fragile hope of romance. His emotionally raw performance earned critical praise and helped propel the film to a nationwide theatrical release through AMC Theatres. It is now available to stream.
On television, Chandler has appeared in episodic roles including FOX’s Rosewood, where he played 1980s cult leader John Teller — a dark, charismatic antagonist that highlighted his range and onscreen intensity.
He had a supporting role in the psychological thriller Chasing Nightmares, opposite Anne Heche and Graham McTavish, playing a manipulative character navigating shifting loyalties and dark motives. The experience deepened his affinity for morally layered material and brought new depth to his screenwork.
Chandler takes on a lead role in the upcoming horror feature Flesh, starring opposite Danielle Harris (Halloween). As one of the film’s central characters, he plays a man who leaves his past behind in search of a fresh start — only to fall for the wrong woman and trigger a chain of violent, supernatural events. The role gave him the opportunity to lead large portions of the film’s emotional and physical arc, diving into stunt work, effects, and tightly-wound dramatic storytelling.
He is currently filming the Western feature The Outlaws of Mendocino, and recently wrapped a neo-noir thriller in which he plays a sexually charged role that explores desire, deception, and control in a dark, stylized world.
In addition to his acting work, Chandler is an established model, appearing in campaigns for American Apparel, Blood is the New Black, Chaser LA, GMC, K-Swiss, and editorial features in Stuff magazine.
Chandler continues to pursue bold, character-driven projects that challenge him as an actor and inspire growth as a storyteller. Outside of his work, he enjoys traveling, going to the cinema, and collecting vintage Star Wars memorabilia. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
